Development

Development is executing the design choices, planning, coding, and testing. Am I using the right platform for this design? Am I delivering what is required? Is it scalable? Will someone else understand my choices?

Project Management

Project management is making sure everything stays on schedule and is delivered on time. Communication with collaborators and clients is key. Good project management allows for surprises and changes

Creativity

Creativity is where the magic happens. It is not just about innovative ideas, but about thinking of solutions from different perspectives. It is also about taking risks and adding joy.

Research

Never be satisfied with the current state of things. There is always something new to be learned, another point of view to be explored. Always look for opportunities to improve and grow.

Hobbies

Do not neglect your joy. The hobbies and pastimes that bring you pleasure can be a source of inspiration. Find ways to incorporate your passion into your work.

I started my journey into design and development a little later in life. Growing up I wanted to try everything; explore the latest ideas, visit unfamiliar places. I was fortunate enough to have accomplished quite a bit. Now I can apply all those experiences into my work.

Replenishing the creative well. Life is full of challenges trying to find solutions to problems. The constant demands can be draining. Finding ways to get the creative juices flowing again is invigorating; travel, museums, theatre, exploring with friends, reading a book, sketching, and painting.

I love detective stories and mysteries. As a child, I was given tactile puzzles to keep me occupied. I love finding solutions to problems. It drives me.

New social settings cause me great anxiety and that is why I am so good at navigating them. I intentionally put myself in uncomfortable situations and practice stress reducing techniques until they become habit.
